Odašiljači i veze is the winner of this year’s Socially Responsible Business Index Award in the public company category for achievements in socially responsible business. The award was received by the manager of OIV’s Corporate Affairs Sector, Gordan Kapović, and it was conferred to him today as part of the 11th National Socially Responsible Business Conference by the director of the Industry Sector in the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Tajana Kesić Šapić.
“This honour shows that we are doing a good job, that we are on the right path and that we are constantly improving our standards for doing business. We have put a special focus on raising the quality of workplace conditions and increasing employee satisfaction, all for the purpose of retaining employees and attracting qualified individuals from throughout Croatia,” Kapović said, adding that investment in socially responsible business should become the standard practice in today’s world.
The Socially Responsible Business Index Awards are conferred by the Croatian Business Advisory Board for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR) and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK), and they are based on a ranking system that facilitates an objective assessment of socially responsible practices by companies and comparisons with the practices of others.
This is OIV’s sixth award, which demonstrates its commitment to continuous improvement of the quality of its operations, care for the users of its services, environmental protection and care for its employees by specifying criteria that surpass those stipulated by law. This recognition also serves as a confirmation of the work put in by the entire collective aimed at preserving values which encourage the development and implementation of best practices to the benefit of society as a whole.
“We are honoured and pleased to be recognized for the sixth time as a company that, besides economic goals, accords considerable significance to socially responsible business,” Kapović stressed.
